Loving Your Body: The Foundation

Feeling and looking great in our clothes starts with loving our bodies! Loving our bodies is a mindset that can sometimes be very difficult to achieve. In my first meet-up, I shared some strategies for connecting with our bodies.
First, do a body scan. Stand in front of a full-length mirror (or any mirror!) and, beginning with your hair, slowly look at each part of your body. Note the features you love and those you don't love so much. Don't criticize; just note and connect.
Second, be gentle and compassionate with yourself. Our bodies are wonderful gifts, all shaped and sized differently for a reason. Embrace your unique curves and angles!
Third, work to find clothes that highlight your favorite parts of your body and downplay the parts you don't love so much. For example, most of us don't love our arms, so wear clothing with sleeves that come midway to the elbow rather than cap sleeves.
